Eddie St-Vil, LPC, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor operating as Eddie St-Vil Counseling & Consulting, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We provide individual therapy, couples counseling, mental performance education, and consulting services virtually across Louisiana and in other licensed jurisdictions.

02. Information We Collect

We collect two categories of information:

Website Information (non-clinical): When you use this website, contact forms, or registration forms, we may collect:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Information you voluntarily provide in contact or registration forms
• Usage data such as pages visited and time spent (via Google Analytics, if enabled)
• Device type, browser, and approximate location (via analytics tools)

Protected Health Information (PHI): If you become a therapy client, we collect and maintain health-related information as required to provide clinical services. This includes intake forms, session notes, treatment plans, billing information, and communications related to your care. This information is governed by HIPAA and is maintained in our secure Electronic Health Records system, not on this website.

03. How We Use Your Information

Website contact and registration information is used solely to:

• Respond to your inquiry or confirm your registration
• Schedule consultations or sessions
• Send program-related communications you have requested
• Improve the website and services we offer

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your information for advertising.

04. HIPAA and Your Health Information

As a licensed clinician, Eddie St-Vil, LPC is a HIPAA-covered provider. Your Protected Health Information (PHI) is protected under the HIPAA Privacy Rule and the HIPAA Security Rule.

Your rights under HIPAA include:

• The right to access and receive a copy of your health information
• The right to request corrections to your health information
• The right to request restrictions on how your information is used or disclosed
• The right to receive a Notice of Privacy Practices
• The right to file a complaint if you believe your privacy rights have been violated

Disclosures without your authorization: We may disclose your health information without authorization only as permitted or required by law — for example, to report suspected child abuse, when there is an imminent threat of harm to you or others, or as required by court order. We will discuss these exceptions with you directly.

05. Third-Party Services and Business Associates

We use the following third-party services that may handle personal or health-adjacent information. Where required by HIPAA, we maintain Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with these vendors:

• Therapy Appointment Portal — Secure client portal for scheduling, intake forms, and session management. HIPAA-compliant. BAA in place.
• Formspree — Used to process website contact and registration form submissions. Collects name, email, phone, and voluntarily provided information. Not used for clinical PHI. Formspree processes data per their privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
• Mailchimp — Used to send newsletter communications to subscribers who have opted in. Not used for clinical PHI. BAA available upon request.
• Google Analytics — Used to understand website traffic and usage patterns. Collects anonymized data. Does not collect PHI. Google processes data per their privacy policy.
• Calendly — Used for scheduling free consultations. Collects name and email. Not used for clinical PHI.

Note on Formspree and PHI: Registration and contact forms on this website are not designed to collect Protected Health Information. Please do not submit clinical details, diagnoses, medication information, or other PHI through website contact forms. PHI is collected and managed exclusively through the secure Therapy Appointment Portal.

06. THE GRIND Mental Performance Cohort

THE GRIND by Eddie St-Vil is an education-based mental performance cohort. Foundation and Full Access tiers are not clinical services and do not create a therapist-client relationship. Information shared in the group setting is subject to a mutual confidentiality agreement among all participants, not HIPAA.

The Elite tier includes individual therapy sessions with Eddie St-Vil, LPC. These sessions are clinical services and are governed by HIPAA and all applicable confidentiality protections.

If you are unsure which tier applies to your situation, contact us before enrolling.

07. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect the information we collect. Website forms are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Clinical information is maintained in HIPAA-compliant systems with access controls, audit logging, and encryption at rest and in transit.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your information has been compromised, contact us immediately at mytherapisteddie@gmail.com.

08. Cookies and Tracking

This website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies through Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This data is aggregated and anonymized — it is not linked to your identity or any health information. You may disable cookies in your browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to use the site.

09. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a minor requires counseling services, a parent or guardian must initiate contact and provide consent as required by Louisiana law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
